"Gli esseri umani hanno un certo aspetto fisico che li rende riconoscibili in quanto tali: davanti a certe forme fisiche non ci si può sbagliare. Interiormente, però, hanno la facoltà di identificarsi con tutto ciò che esiste intorno a loro, ed è ciò che fanno più o meno inconsciamente nell’arco di una giornata: in virtù del mimetismo, qualcosa in loro non smette mai di identificarsi con ciò che toccano, vedono, sentono… Devono quindi essere vigili.
Ogni giorno dobbiamo fermarci per qualche istante e chiederci con chi o con che cosa ci stiamo identificando. Sì, perché le cose e gli esseri con i quali ci identifichiamo, sono ciò che prima o poi diverremo. Gesù, che ha detto: «Io sono la luce del mondo», ha detto anche: «Voi siete la luce del mondo».
È dunque con la luce che dobbiamo identificarci per diventare realmente, un giorno, pura luce. "

"We, as humans, have a particular physical appearance, which allows people to identify us: certain of our physical features are unmistakable. But inwardly we have the ability to identify with everything that exists, and in fact we do this more or less unconsciously all day long: through imitation, something within us is constantly identifying with what we touch, see or hear. So, we must be vigilant! 
Every day we must stop for a few moments to ask ourselves what and whom we are identifying with. For sooner or later we will become those very people and things. And Jesus, who said, ‘I am the light of the world,’ also said, ‘You are the light of the world.’ It is therefore light we must identify with, so that one day we may truly become this light."

"Les humains ont une certaine apparence physique qui fait qu’on les reconnaît comme tels : devant certaines formes physiques, on ne peut pas se tromper. Mais intérieurement, ils ont la faculté de s’identifier à tout ce qui existe autour d’eux et c’est ce qu’ils font plus ou moins inconsciemment tout au long d’une journée : quelque chose en eux ne cesse, par mimétisme, de s’identifier à ce qu’ils touchent, voient, entendent… Ils doivent donc être vigilants.
Chaque jour nous devons nous arrêter quelques instants pour nous demander à qui ou à quoi nous sommes en train de nous identifier. Car les êtres et les choses auxquels nous nous identifions, voilà ce que nous deviendrons tôt ou tard. Et Jésus qui a dit : « Je suis la lumière du monde », a dit aussi : « Vous êtes la lumière du monde ». C’est donc à la lumière que nous devons nous identifier pour devenir réellement, un jour, pure lumière."

"Die Menschen haben ein bestimmtes körperliches Aussehen, das bewirkt, dass man sie als solche erkennt: Angesichts bestimmter physischer Formen kann man sich nicht täuschen. Aber innerlich haben sie die Fähigkeit, sich mit all dem zu identifizieren, was um sie herum existiert, und das tun sie mehr oder weniger unbewusst den ganzen Tag lang. Etwas in ihnen hört nicht auf, sich durch Nachahmung mit dem zu identifizieren, was sie berühren, sehen und hören… Sie müssen daher wachsam sein.
Jeden Tag müssen wir einige Augenblicke innehalten, um uns zu fragen, mit wem oder was wir im Begriff sind, uns zu identifizieren. Denn die Wesen und Dinge, mit denen wir uns identifizieren, sind das, was wir früher oder später selbst werden. Und Jesus, der sagte: »Ich bin das Licht der Welt«, sagte auch: »Ihr seid das Licht der Welt« (Joh 8,12, Mt 5,14). Wir müssen uns also mit dem Licht identifizieren, um eines Tages wirklich reines Licht zu werden."
