Poesia - deve impregnare tutta la nostra vita / Poetry - must permeate our whole life /Poezia - trebuie să ne impregneze întreaga viață

"Tutti pensano di sapere cos’è la poesia. Sì, lo sanno, ma nei libri, non nella vita. Nella vita i più sono prosaici: freddi, stagnanti, spenti, terra terra, e da loro non emana nulla di sottile. Lasciano la poesia ai poeti che la scrivono, e anche se ogni tanto leggono qualche verso, la vita che conducono non è affatto poetica. Ecco perché è necessario che una nuova concezione dell’arte insegni loro a vivere giorno e notte nella poesia, ossia a manifestare qualcosa di luminoso, caloroso, espressivo e sottile. E a quel punto si comincerà anche ad amarli.
Gli esseri umani hanno bisogno di essere amati, hanno bisogno di stabilire buone relazioni tra loro, ma si direbbe che fanno di tutto per respingersi a vicenda: rimangono chiusi, cupi, pesanti. Come si può essere amati quando ci si mostra così antipatici? Per essere amato, ogni essere deve imparare a vivere una vita poetica in modo da portare agli altri il calore e la luce."
