"Per quale ragione la Natività, la nascita del Cristo, viene festeggiata all'inizio dell'inverno? La risposta si trova nel libro della Natura. Ogni vita ha inizio da una semente, un seme nascosto nell'oscurità della terra o nelle viscere di una donna. E l'inverno è la stagione in cui, nei semi che sono stati messi in terra, avviene un lungo lavoro di germinazione, che in primavera porterà allo schiudersi di una moltitudine di nuove esistenze. Un identico lavoro avviene nella psiche di ogni essere: in quella terra nera che è la sua natura inferiore, inizia a germogliare il seme del Sé divino, il Cristo. 
È questo avvenimento che i cristiani celebrano la notte di Natale... Sì, proprio di notte, a mezzanotte, nel momento di maggiore oscurità, ha luogo una nascita. Ecco perché, nonostante il freddo e l'oscurità, Natale è anche la festa della luce."

"Why do we celebrate the Nativity, the birth of Christ, at the beginning of winter? The answer is to be found in the book of Nature. All of life begins with a seed, buried in darkness in the earth or in a woman’s womb. And for the seeds that have been placed in the earth, winter is the season when the lengthy work of germination takes place, ending in spring with the birth of a multitude of new existences. And an identical work takes place in the psyche of each human being: in the dark earth, the lower nature, the seed of the divine Self, the Christ, begins to germinate.
